About Pelican Harbor Rescue:

Pelican Harbor Seabird Station (PHSS) is Miami-Dade County's premier Wildlife Hospital. They have treated 45,000+ patients since 1980. Situated on an inlet at the Pelican Harbor Marina, they see approximately 2,500 patients of 130+ species each year. Included; migratory songbirds, keystone species like the gopher tortoise, iconic brown pelicans, raptors; hawks and owls, and North America's only marsupial, the Virginia Opossum.

1 — PELICAN HARBOR'S BEHIND THE SCENES TOURS — ideal for wildlife enthusiasts; families and groups of all ages of limited size. You will marvel seeing the native wildlife in rehabilitation, and meet our furry, feathered, and scaly animals. You'll learn about the history, and impact the team makes on local wildlife, and life issues they see day-to-day. Each visit offers new issues as our patients change through the year, some from baby birth to migration season. Come visit the beautiful views along our bay front location, the Miami shoreline, and travels up the Miami River before returning to our base.

Private Seabird Sunset Cruise:

2 — SEABIRD SUNSET CRUISE is a serene 2-hour water adventure on Biscayne Bay, departing from either Pelican Harbor or Crandon Park Marinas. Each cruise begins with a visit to a lively local rookery on islands in the bay where sea and shore-birds roost and nest. Here you'll spot brown pelicans, frigate birds, herons. It visits the historic Cape Florida Lighthouse, and Stiltsville, where other native species are viewed as they fly over for the final flight of the day at sunset.

Cancellations:

Pelican Harbor Facility Tour: They may cancel in case of unsafe weather, boat issues, or due to low sign-ups. Cruises are organized by PH, but run by Miami-Dade Parks, who require a certain number of sign-ups to set sail. Same cancellation policy occurs with options of reschedule, a donation, or refund.
